401 Games Tournament Notices

For all of our weekly Magic The Gathering events we have extended the prize pool to include anyone who goes X-1 or better throughout the event. For example; In a 4 round tournament anyone who goes 4-0, 3-1, or 3-0-1 would be awarded prizes.

Thursday Magic Type 2 tournaments will now be $5 Entry

Registration runs from 12:00pm thru to 12:50pm
Tournaments begins at 1:00 pm

Entry Fee
Entry Fee will be $25.00

Tournament Structure
The format for these events is DCI Sanctioned Swiss Rounds Sealed Deck.

Advancement
All players may participate in all Swiss rounds
The top 8 players after the Swiss rounds will advance to the single-elimination finals

Top 8
Top 8 matches will be best 2 of 3
The standings after the Swiss rounds will be used to determine final order in the standings.

Notes
All Universal Tournament Rules and Magic: The Gathering Floor Rules are in effect for this event
Players must bring pen, paper, card sleeves and appropriate counters.
DECKLISTS WILL BE REQUIRED.

Prizes
$5 per player will be added to the prize pool (store credit) and split amongst the top players at the end of the tournament.
At least 1 third-round bye at Grand Prix–Toronto is offered at each Trial, based on attendance:

There will be changes to FNM starting in July

Starting in July we will be running 2 FNM events each week.

Standard Constructed - 6:00pm, $1 Entry, All the entry fees plus $20 will be added to the prize pool
Booster Draft - 6:00pm, $13 Entry, $3 per player will be added to the prize pool

4 copies of the FNM promo card for the month will be given out for each event.

Every Friday evening 401 Games hosts a special Wizards Sponsored event known as Friday Night Magic.
The format for these events is a booster draft of the most recent block (currently 3 boosters of Rise of the Eldrazi).
The draft begins at 6:00pm.
Entry fee is $13.00, which includes the cost of the 3 packs you will use for drafting.
For these special events in addition to the store credit prizes we will also be giving away 4 copies of the current FNM foil promotional card which changes every month. 1 each for the top 2 players and 2 random door prizes.

Our Thursday Type 2 Event will now start at 6:00pm.
Join us every Thursday evening at 6:00pm for our weekly M:TG Type 2 constructed event. A great way to have some fun and meet other M:TG players. Entry is $5 so put together your best Type 2 deck and test your skills against other M:TG players in Toronto for a fun and casual evening of gaming. Prizes will be store credit given out to the Top 4 players.

Friday Night Magic Booster Draft:

Our Friday Night Magic Event will now start at 6:00pm.
Join us every Friday evening at 6:00pm for our weekly M:TG Friday Night Magic Booster Draft. A great way to have some fun and meet other M:TG players. Format is draft of the most recent block so no need to bring a deck for this one. Just draft your cards at the event and build a new deck every week!! Entry is $13 and the booster packs are included with entry. Test your drafting and deck building skills against other M:TG players in Toronto for a fun and casual evening of gaming. Prizes will be store credit given out to the Top 4 players and exclusive promotional cards available only at sanctioned Friday Night Magic events.

Join us every Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm for our weekly M:TG Sealed Deck. A great way to have some fun and meet other M:TG players. Format is Sealed Deck of the most recent block so no need to bring a deck for this one. Just open your 6 boosters (all product included with entry) at the event and build a new deck every week!! Entry is $25 and the booster packs are included with entry. Test your deck building skills against other M:TG players in Toronto for a fun and casual afternoon of gaming. Prizes will be store credit given out to the Top 4 players.
